20 Fun Summer Activities

It’s the end of winter & the kids can’t wait to have fun! You and the kids can try new and exciting things this summer with the help from our list.

1. Camp out in your backyard.
2. Have a water gun or water balloon battle.
3. Build your own backyard water-slide.
4. Take a family road trip. Between playing road games, discovering new places and spending time together, it will be an experience you’ll remember forever.
5. Build a sandcastle.
6. Sit on the ground with your kids, watch the clouds and ask them what they see.
7. Make a bird feeder.
8. Pick strawberries at a local farm.
9. Go to a sports game.
10. Visit the local zoo.
11. Go to a carnival or a fair.
12. Make your own tire swing.
13. Plant a garden. Growing a garden with your kids is a great way to get them to learn how to grow something from start to finish. Have your kids help by letting them pick their favourite plant, fruit or vegetable.
14. Make your own ice cream.
15. Decorate the driveway with sidewalk chalk and have a photoshoot or draw a hopscotch board and play a few games.
16. Create pressed flower window gardens.
17. Build an indoor fort.
18. Go see a fireworks display.

20. Remember it all by having your kids create a Summer Scrapbook, keeping a journal about their favourite Summer activities, and adding mementos and pictures.
